Climb up until you reach two statues with offering bowls. You can get there quickly by warping to the Shee Vaneer Shrine.īehind the shrine is the top of the mountain. The best place to farm Star Fragments is at the top of Dueling Peaks. They can only appear between 9:00 PM and 3:30 AM, and they will disappear at 5:00. Methods of Farming Star FragmentsĪlthough it's possible to farm Star Fragments anywhere in the overland, the best method is to climb a high vantage point and wait until 9:00 PM. Jump to the platform and open the chest to receive a Star Fragment. The treasure chest is located on a spot near an elevated platform with two torch stands. You can get a Star Fragment as you traverse the Typhlo Ruins. ![]() Bring it to the surface and open it to get the Star Fragment inside. Head to the port area inside the cave and activate Magnesis to find a treasure chest submerged underwater. Travel to Hyrule Castle Docks from the giant pillar north of Hyrule Castle. Be sure and find them first, as they are faster than farming them! However, after obtaining these once, they do not show up again. While a bit tedious, an infinite number of Star Fragments can be found this way. Star Fragments are a somewhat rare material that cannot be bought, and are normally found by seeing a shooting star, then tracking down the location where it landed. Grab some swift carrots and you'll be well on the way. Now all you need to do is find it before morning. Eventually you'll see fire across the night sky and observe the fragment land in the distance. Make your way to a high point in Hyrule and keep your eye on the horizon. Mess around at the fire at the Stables until it's noon on a full moon day. Breath of the Wild runs on an 8 day cycle and, helpfully, Hino at the Duelling Peaks Stable can tell you what kind of moon there's going to be. Star Fragments only fall between 9:30pm and 2am and only during the full moon. Don't worry, you're not going to have to just stare at the sky. These are much sought after and useful for ancient armour and for enchanting armour with the Great Fairies. If you can get there in time, you're going to find a Star Fragment. And because it's Breath of the Wild, that means you can go and see what's arrived.
